Student's names shall not be published in captions with
images.
-
Any images containing "recognizable facial features" of a
student can only be used if an affirmative district photo release is on file
with the school at which the student attends. (See
online photo release form)
An image with "recognizable facial features" is detailed enough to identify a
student. An image is deemed "unrecognizable" if the image contains distant
facial features or when the student is not directly facing the camera so that
only a portion of the student's body is visible (ex: backs, hands, and feet).

Each web page shall be reviewed by at least 2 people (other
than the author). Reviews are two fold. They must be grammatically and
semantically correct. Secondly, they must operate properly (text formatting,
links, images, videos, animation, sound, etc.)
-
Images on websites shall be limited in size to support
800x600 pixel displays and to minimize bandwidth overhead on the district's
computer network and on the web server. Also the use of streaming video and
audio shall also be kept to a minimum. Photos are kept to low resolutions
(500x400 pixels, 72 DPI) to minimize download time. In addition, the low
resolution photos are too poor in quality to be used in printed publications.
