LIBRARY RENOVATIONS REVVING UP AT COSTA! The cosmetics: fresh paint and new carpeting in homey and contemporary colors. The technology: 15 new computer terminals to supplement the 40 machines currently available to students. The infrastructure: light oak shelving, soundproof student meeting rooms designed for collaborative learning, updated restrooms, and the ‘like-new’ refurbishment and repositioning of the librarian’s counter to allow for more effective supervision. The crowning glory: a modernized ‘storefront’ to attract and invite student customers. These improvements – scheduled to be completed by March, 2008 -- will transform the Costa library into a state-of-the-art 21st century learning center. Who SAYS you can’t judge a book by its cover?
