Compare the difference. At $.10 per double-sided page, a typical 10 page Wednesday Packet costs the school district $1,400 to print PER WEEK (costs include paper, toner, electricity, and lease and maintenance contracts for photo copiers). The MBMSPTA.COM  website costs the PTA only $200 PER YEAR.  In addition, non-recyclable resources like copier toner, electricity, and colored-paper are expended to produce the paper Wednesday packet.

As a result, the paper Wednesday packet will only be produced on a monthly basis. Weekly school broadcasts will continue to be issued electronically but you must subscribed to BOTH the eNews and Principal's eList to receive the weekly news.

What is the eNews and eList?

The Online Wednesday Packet consists of a combination of Internet based solutions.  These include:

The weekly eNews broadcast:  Get all the information you need to know on a weekly basis about upcoming school events, deadlines for after school activities and school forms, PTA meetings, important information, etc. through one weekly email broadcast. This is a subscription based email service that delivers a weekly message to you with links to web pages on the MBMS PTA web site.  This is the primary delivery and distribution vehicle for the ePacket.  It includes links to the Principal's Newsletter, the PTA newsletter "The Wavelength", the upcoming events calendar, and web pages containing flyers and announcements.

The Principal's eList is a subscription based email service that delivers emergency notices to you directly from the Principal.  Unlike the eNews, eList broadcasts from the Principal are made on an as needed basis.  You may review some of the recent eList messages by clicking here.

The MBMS PTA Web site is the repository for all the electronic media for the ePacket.  You may visit the web site at any time to review previously issued information.  Our web site address is mbmspta.com.  You should add the web site as a a bookmark or a favorite site in your web browser so that you can revisit the site often without typing in the web site address.  A useful page to view is the What's New web page where recent additions and modifications to the web site are listed.

The Upcoming Events Calendar:  MBMS, other MBUSD schools, and the South Bay cities are now listing their events on the South Bay Calendar.
