Measures 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F are on the ballot. The current California State Budget assumes that Measures 1A through 1E will pass and that California’s General Fund will receive the resulting additional revenue. Should these Measures fail, the State must reduce expenditures even further.
Measures 1A and 1B directly impact education funding. Measure 1B specifies how education funding would be increased in future years. In order for Measure 1B to take affect, however, Measure 1A must pass.
California State PTA supports Measures 1A, 1B, 1C, 1E, opposes 1D and takes no position regarding 1F. For information on State PTA’s position, please visit www.capta.org.
The Greater South Bay Education Coalition, the recently formed organization of school districts in the greater South Bay, has unanimously voted to endorse Measures 1A through 1E.
